“Mr. Bannon’s unwillingness to cooperate with our committee leaves us no choice but to hold him in criminal contempt — and refer his case to the Justice Department for prosecution following a House vote. Despite what Mr. Bannon and Mr. Trump may both believe, no one is above the law.
“Our committee remains wholly dedicated to the task of investigating the most serious attack on the heart of our democracy since the Civil War. We will not tolerate efforts to disrupt our oversight or conceal the truth. We promised the American people answers — and we will deliver."
